Overview
A temple event needing both stills and motion, covered and produced as one job. Filming and photography run simultaneously, then edited into a set of stills plus a cut film of the day.
The Challenge
Covering an event for both photo and video at once means constantly choosing which medium loses. Religious events also carry etiquette that governs where you can stand and when filming is appropriate — getting that wrong matters more than getting the shot.
The Approach

Agree what must be captured
Establishing the handful of moments that absolutely had to be covered, so those never got missed while chasing something else.

Respect the setting first
Positions and movement agreed in advance. Unobtrusive coverage beats better framing that interrupts a ceremony.

Film and shoot in parallel
Locked-off video for continuity, stills worked around it, so neither medium was an afterthought.
04
Deliver two finished outputs
An edited stills set and a cut film, both usable on their own.
